What’s It Worth? Antiques Appraisal Event

February 11th, 2009 by Elaine Clements

Back by popular demand! Mark your calendar now for the Society’s annual “What’s It Worth? Antiques Appraisal Event”, Friday, March 27th, 7:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation on Locke Street, around the corner from the Historical Society.

.

appraisal-2007-2-croppedSkinner appraiser and Antiques Roadshow favorite Stuart Whitehurst will be our appraiser for the evening. The open format appraisal event has become increasingly popular, as appraisers have found that guests are just as curious about their neighbor’s objects as they are about their own. After registering their item, guests take their seat in the hall and enjoy the show as Whitehurst examines and discusses each item brought for appraisal. An entertaining speaker, Whitehurst’s goal is to teach the audience something new with each item he examines. Coins, stamps, jewelry and musical instruments will not be appraised at this event.

.

Ticket price will be announced by the end of February. For information and tickets, watch the blog or call 978-475-2236. Register for email updates by sending your email address to info@andoverhistorical.org.
