Today Route 114 is a busy and often congested road, connecting Lawrence with Salem. Also known as the Salem Turnpike, the road sits at the northern edge of Andover. Although today’s photograph 
was most likely not an Andover scene, it does give an idea of how rural parts of the Salem Turnpike were not that long ago.
