A noted architect, Addison LeBoutillier was also a gifted, versatile artist designing for Boston-based jewelers Bigelow, Kennard, & Co and Grueby Pottery, popular for its home decoration during the Arts & Crafts movement. Visitors will see treasures from Andover Historical’s LeBoutillier collection not normally on public view, including St. Sigebert, a model of an imaginary medieval village crafted over a period of seven years, tools and architectural designs and models of Andover buildings.
Visitors can visit the nearby Christ Church built by the architectural firm Hartwell & Richardson in 1887 that includes reredos, stenciled ceiling design, small wood carvings and the parish hall structure all created by LeBoutillier.
